CertainTeed Shingles

Last year Albatross Roofing was using the CertainTeed Corp. for most of our shingle installations. The shingles we used were the Landmark (an architectural). Lately the line of 3-tab shingles made by CertainTeed have been failing quite frequently only after a period of short time (4 to 10 years). This is only in the 3-tab shingles which we have never installed. But due to the circumstances we are switching to a brand named IKO. They use recycled asphalt and are a heavier shingle compared to the CertainTeed. We don’t feel that the Landmark line of CertainTeed Corp. is in any way an inferior shingle, but due to the problems in their 3-tab line we will no longer use shingles by the CertainTeed Corp.
